Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon Dr. Renato Calabria graduated from the University of Padua Medical School in Padua, Italy, one of the oldest medical schools in the world. His postdoctoral training includes Research Fellowships in Surgery at Harbor UCLA and Wadsworth-UCLA Medical Centers, followed by a Residency in Pathology at Wadswroth-UCLA. After completing five years of General Surgery training at Kern County-University of California San Diego Medical Center, Dr. Calabria moved to the Bay area where he trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Calabria is Board Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgery, The American College of Surgeons, The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons and The International Society of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Calabria is part of the voluntary faculty of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, where he teaches residents the latest techniques in cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Calabria has authored and coauthored numerous publications and has written several book chapters including Reconstructive Breast Surgery and Burns. He has lectured at national and international meetings, including The American Society of Plastic Surgery, The California Society of Plastic Surgery, The International Society of Plastic Surgery, The American College of Surgeons, The Association for Academic Surgery and the Italian Society for Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Calabria is a leading expert in his field and has been featured on Extra, Inside Edition, CBS and NBC Bruce Henzel. He has also been featured in Cosmetic Surgery Magazine, LAFM, Westlake Magazine, Salute, INSIEME Together, BUNTE and The Los Angeles Times.

Dr. Calabria has been invited to be on faculty of numerous aesthetic laser workshops in the U.S. and in Europe to train other surgeons in the use of laser in cosmetic surgery. He has also been at the forefront of endoscopic facial plastic surgery, referred to as "minimally invasive" surgery, participating in various panels on the subject.

Devoting time to help children with congenital defects has always been one of Dr. Calabria's priorities. He participated in several Third World missions, mostly in Central and South America, where he performed hundreds of reconstructive surgeries.
